Participants may include any combination of educators (e.g., classroom teachers and building administrators; building administrators and district curriculum support staff).
Cost is based per group or cohort of 25 educators. Costs decrease with numbers of educators.
A cohort is a complete group of educators who begin the workshop together and move through the entire workshop together. This is particularly valuable for school districts and education service agencies whose educators share much common knowledge and deal with similar policies and goals. [Note: there are never any scheduled meeting times when all group participants must be online together at the same time].
In some districts, there may be resident expertise and staff who are capable of facilitating a CyberSmart! workshop, and we have provided pricing to accommodate that. The district may choose to put their educators through the sessions in stages, so local expertise may be developed while new educators are introduced.
All workshops provide:
- facilitators, one for each cohort of 25 educators
- lively multimedia instructional tutorials
- a unique interactive multimedia inquiry-based database of experts
- hands on practice with web 2.0 communication and collaboration tools
- pre and post assessment
- management progress and completion reports
- ongoing access to expert Knowledgebase for one year
- ongoing support of CyberSmart Professional Learning Community. School Districts may reserve rooms.
- One (1) CEU credit
